THERE IS A PROBLEM when USE RECHARGABLE BATTERIES… IF YOU CHANGE IN SETTINNGS FROM ALKALINE to NiMH THEN YOU TAKE A “RECHARGE BATTERIES” MESSAGE AFTER ABOUT 15to20 SHOTS WITHOUT USE OF FLASH.. I USE 2700mA CELLS LIGHT USED.. I BUY NEW OTHER BRAND BATTRIES 2500mA BUT THE PROBLEM GOES ON.. THEN ONE DAY AFTER ABOUT A MONTH I DISIDE TO OVERPASS THE STUPPIDE FIRMWARE CHANGING THE SETTING TO ALKALINE WHILE I USE NiMH !!! AND THE MIRACLE DONE.. EVRETHING WORKS OK.. DEAR SAMSUNG GIVE US A BETTER FIMWARE TO TAKE THE MAXIMUM OF OUR BATTARIES.. THANK YOU
I have the same problem with my camera ES27. Yes. A better firmware to take the maximum of AA Ni-MH batteries. Thanks

I too have the same prob on ES28.Switching Alkaline while using Ni Batteries gives more standby time…
i was gifted es 28 digital camera.its fine but I am also facing the same problem of battries which expires so soon.
i have one problem when you make any picture after that u want u see that picture when i press that button thery showa file not found what is this

No problem with the camera but I have lost the paperwork which gave instructions about how to use it. Sad to say, I am at an age where I need it.

I recently bought a samsung camera .Its certainly a very good product .I however strongly advise that a the company should provide a comprehensive written manual for the advantage of users who dont have access to the computer

Very pleased with it esp. at it was on special at Harvey Norman for $44. Was looking for a cheap reliable basic camera to take to Europe with me. (my other camera was a lot heavier and awkward to carry). The Samsung ES28 picture quality is excellent, battery life is good and camera is easy to use and most reliable.
I have to press the power button twice in quick succession to get the camera to switch it on. It didn’t used to be like this! Is there a setting that I have changed without realising it?

I have noticed that the NMHI batteries have to be fully charged and only last 1 to 2 days, often less than that. When the camera reports batteries as flat they are still capables of powering other items fine. Is there a known problem with the way the ES28 uses the battery? Is the camera reporting batterylife as expired far too early?

Hello there! I have one small issue with my camera… whenever I record a video, if i try to zoom during the recording, it mutes the mic, thus creating small mute sections when i playback the video… Is this normal? Or is there an issue with my camera? I couldnt find any option for the mic or something relevant in the options… Thanks in advance…

My problem is when I take photo on night. Then my photos be like retouched and blurred. On day pictures is good. Is there maybe some options to configure this camera or something ?

there are several reasons when you get blurred images. At this time, I want to recommend you to use DIS(Digital Image Stabilizion) Mode. DIS Mode will make you able to capture beautifully clear images even when your camera or object is moving. (Go to Menu -> Mode, then you will find it!) We hope this information helps you.

If I use DIS mode then I can’t use flash, that is good for day, but my pictures is blurred and retouched on night. On day all is good.
Maybe I need to mention, pictures is good also on night but only if I take picture closer than 2 meters (6,5 feets).

I’m wondering that you want to take a pics on night when it’s really really dark or some lights around the place.
If you need to take a pics on night with flash, set it up as night scene with flash.

Along with the camera, you should have received a USB cable to connect your ES28 with your computer. After connecting the two devices, please turn on the camera and press the play button and the camera should pop-up in your window.
